Frontline Housing does more than just housing! Through our New Neighborhood Initiative, we host events, bring resources and start programs directly in the community. Watch the video below to see our Homework Club!
NNI was established to foster community engagement via community-led programs in apartment communities throughout the metro Atlanta.
NNI helps communities thrive through a three-step process:
1. Community helps you (families are connected with resources to meet their challenges);
2. You help yourself (families take charge of their goals)
3. You give back to the community (and increase networks)
The child-focused Super Fun Saturday helps foster academic success, community engagement, and provides youth in apartment communities with a safe and fun space to gather. Our community has started their own flag football league every other Saturday!
The Homework Club focuses on a two-generation model, supporting school-aged kids in the community with completing their homework and improving their grades. The Homework Club will work to bring kids together and incentivize school attendance and improving grades.
Book Buddies is a vibrant community created for children to explore a variety of books and connect with community leaders. Book buddies welcomes children K-5 and high school student volunteers. We meet once a week at a local recreational center.
